About Stout Heart Press#

Tanner Schudlich (he/they) is a social worker, archivist, printmaker, and book binder based in Ypsilanti, MI. Tanner’s work engages with questions about how we navigate grief, memory, hope, and despair in our lives and communities. Tanner uses his own Vandercook No. 099 cylinder proofing press in addition to community accessible Vandercook No. 3 and No. 1 presses at the University of Michigan Book Arts Studio. When not teaching or working in the U-M Book Arts Studio, he runs Stout Heart Press, a small private press, out of his apartment where he lives with his partner and two cats.
